Meet the Staff

Chirco's people that make the difference.

Joe Chirco aka "Smokin' Joe": (Founder and Owner of Chirco Automotive)
Joe got his start selling Baja parts at the local Flea Market in the 70's and has grown Chirco Performance and Restoration into a bustling global aftermarket VW and dune buggy parts and accessories business. Joe proudly contributes his business savvy and expertise to his father. You'll never find Joe sitting in an office, you'll find him at the front counter helping customers, on the phone answering questions for our mail order customers, in the service center working on cars, or out at the dunes havin fun. Joe truly enjoys this industry.

Sandy Chirco aka "Papa Santo": (Co-owner of Chirco Performance and Restoration and founder of Tucson Packard).

He's known throughout the United States and around the globe for servicing Packard owner part needs. Not only is he a blast to have around, he's always good for a laugh, and definitely a pleasure to work with. You can find Sandy roaming the back aisles of Chirco working with his antique parts.

See Sandy's web site at Packard Parts Online!!

Don: (General Manager)

Well, what can we say about Don. Every company needs a bean counter, I guess. We have ordered him a personality and a sense of humor, but they are on back order. When Don first saw the slogan "Drivers wanted" his comment was, "You also need a good 3 & 5 wood for a complete game."

Jackson:
(Service Manager & Buggy Shop Supervisor)

Jackson is a pro at buggy building, this is what I want to do. During the day, Jackson will come running into the showroom yelling "You got to check out my new idea for,,,,,,,,,,) as he bumps into a showroom car. Then Joe will say, lift up your welding mask. It sure is nice to have a professional like Jackson who loves his job like Jackson does. When he is not working on buggies for Chirco, he is working on his own buggy.

Maria: (Chirco and Tucson Packard Bookkeeper).

Maria’s ability to organize our back office and keep the paper moving to it’s final destination has been the ‘shot in the arm’ we needed. Her pleasant manner, warm smile and dedication is welcome and appreciated. She keeps Sandy and Joe in line.

John aka "Patch":
(Shipping and Receiving)

In a recent interview John stated, "Boxes are my life, I just love them, tape is cool too". You can be sure that when your order is placed, John quick to get that shipment out before the end of the day. Under his breath you can hear John say "Why won't Dale drive the Truck, I would like to drive the truck".

Brandon: (Counter Associate)

Brandon has been around for quite awhile, and we're darn glad we have him. If cloning were an option, we'd recommend him as the first. He's our very own sand dune freak. Brandon remembers his parents mounting a set of paddle tires to his stroller when he was an infant. If you have a question about dune buggy products and accessories, he's your man! He's also well skilled in the needs of all other air-cooled models. His enthusiasm is addicting here at Chirco. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to meet all of our customer's needs.

Bob: (Air-Cooled/Buggy Technician)

Bob is one of our air-cooled/Buggy technicians who takes pride in his workmanship. Mr. Versatile, he can work on most anything. Bob builds motors, works on buggies and restoration projects. He brings over 15 years of experience and is a true asset to our company.
